Producers and Agents
Dear Sir or Madame:
I come from the same graduating class that produced Suzanne Todd (Producer: Austin Powers), Stephen Somers (Writer/Director: The Mummy Returns) and Jay Roach (Director: Meet The Parents). We were friends and classmates while at USC's School of Cinema Television graduating class of 1987. These filmmakers have risen to acclaim by their talent and tenacity but moreover because they had something to offer; i.e., a talented team of producers, a well written script or a keen understand of performance. Like my peers in 1987, I had similar offerings but an overwhelming family obligation created the need for me to abandon my filmmaking career. In 1997 I started back on the path to the career I left ten years earlier. I am now ready to present myself and my offerings to the Industry.
I believe that in a professional partnership with you and your company, we can find opportunities for me to write, direct and photograph motion picture entertainment. I have three offerings:
1, I have four exceptional screenplays that were culled and cultivated from my years as a WGAe literary agent and script doctor.
2, I possess the skills of an award winning cinematographer.
3, I have an compelling desire to further my career ambitions as a
director/cinematographer.
I have gained recognition with two long format films that I produced, directed and shot. Both have won awards, one gained the attention of American Cinematographer Magazine the other earned TV Guide's "Pick of the Week." My screenwriting has been recognized by the Academy Foundation's Nicholls Fellowship.
I am interested in offering to you and your company my skills and experience as a filmmaker and the four scripts with the idea that I will direct, shoot or second unit direct at least one.
